Buccal Fat Removal
Buccal fat pad extraction is a plastic surgery procedure for reducing prominent cheeks, by the proportional removal of buccal fat-pad tissue.
The reduction of buccal fat pads is performed either under conscious sedation or under general anaesthesia. The typical approach for removing the buccal fat pad is through an incision in the mouth, towards the back of the buccal cavity, near the second upper molar; and another incision is made through the buccinator muscle, which incisions produce an opening for access to the buccal fat pads. Afterwards, the surgeon applies manual pressure to the exterior of the cheek, which pushes the buccal fat pad to protrude to the interior of the mouth, which permits gripping the pad with forceps. Once extracted from its place, the surgeon then resects (cuts and removes) the required amount of tissue from the buccal fat pad to achieve the desired cheek reduction; the remainder of the buccal fat pad then is replaced to its anatomic site, and the two incisions are sutured.

Cyprus is an island in the eastern Mediterranean that was divided into a Greek southern side and a Turkish northern side after a coup instigated by the dictatorship ruling Greece in 1974 and a subsequent Turkish military offensive. Interethnic violence had earlier caused the partial separation of the two communities. With a Greek majority of around 77 percent of the population at the time of independence in 1960, many people regard Cyprus as part of the wider Greek culture. Although the island became part of the Byzantine Empire in the fourth century, it was part of the Ottoman Empire from 1571 to 1878 and had an 18.3 percent Turkish minority in 1960. Greek Cypriots are Christian Orthodox, while Turkish Cypriots are Sunni Muslim.

I recently had breast augmentation going from a B too DD cup, after breast feeding my two children they had become drooped and empty. My breasts are now perfect and I have gained much more confidence.
I cannot reccomend Dr David and Joanne enough, before choosing Sun Med I had been too 3 other clinics for consultations and none came close. I felt relaxed and safe in the hands of Dr David and his team, the clinic its self is beautiful. The care I received pre and post Op was extremely impressive, I highly recommend. Thank you!

I had decided many years ago to have a facelift so this decision was not a hard one for me. Having said this to choose a surgeon and a service is altogether a different proposition. I have had consultations previously where I have been kept waiting for hours, then rushed through the consultation and then leaving feeling like I was just another one on the conveyor belt. I met up with Jo and Dr David at the clinic. The first impressions of the clinic were good and the reception area is impressive. Jo was waiting for me in reception and took me straight to meet Dr David. What a great team they are and I felt at ease immediately. I knew after a few minutes that this was for me. Jo is friendly, informative and helpful and Dr David is so gentle and kind. All my questions were answered, I was not rushed and I felt exactly as I should feel after a consultation to have quite evasive surgery undertaken to my face. Everything that was explained to me happened, both Jo and Dr David were there if I needed any further clarification or help or just reassurance. On the day of the procedure, everything went like clockwork, Jo was there, I had blood taken quickly and Dr David was there to 'mark me up'. I was quite impressed with the secret door in the lift that takes you to the operating theatre. The theatre staff were lovely especially the anaesthetist who was quite funny. I have to admit I felt like my head had been beaten with a baseball bat when I came round but the nursing staff were excellent and Dr David & Jo came again to see me that afternoon and again the next morning. Considering how I looked when I came home the next day being so swollen, I followed instructions given and have healed well and very quickly. I have had 3 post op consultations and have my 3 month check in a couple of months. I am so happy with my decision to go with Cyprus Sun Med Connections and will recommend to any one I know who is thinking of surgery. I wouldn't hesitate to have more procedures. A big thanks to all of you. The procedure has made a huge difference in my appearance and I cannot help looking in the mirror more often and smile that my jowls and saggy neck have disappeared and that I look so refreshed.
